Your Walk-in Centre has moved

Showell Park Walk-in Centre has moved from Friday 1st April 2016 to the new Urgent Care Centre, 1st floor, above the Emergency Department at New Cross Hospital.

The GP surgery will still be available at Showell Park Health Centre. In order to use this GP surgery you can register as a patient. Forms can be collected from the surgery reception or completed via this website.

Walk in Centre services at the Phoenix Walk-in Centre, Parkfield Road, WV4 6ED will remain unchanged. They are available between 10am and 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on weekends and bank holidays.

Pharmacies, NHS111 or your GP are also available to offer advice.

Don’t forget that there are other healthcare options available instead of the Walk-in Centre or calling 999. Pharmacists can offer far more than just medicines. They can provide you with an on the day consultation to talk about your symptoms.

To improve access for all patients to your local GP practice it’s worth registering for Online Services. This allows patients to:

  • book appointments
  • request repeat prescriptions online

The receptionist at your practice can give you more information so you can get started. More information can be found on by typing Patient Online into the search box.

Patients should get the right care in the right place, the first time. Accessing the right care in the right place will usually result in reduced waiting times.

Please call NHS 111 or use NHS Choices for advice and guidance on where to access the right care for you.
